We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineers (Solutions Consultants) in APAC region!

The Technical Sales is responsible for providing technical expertise and support throughout the sales cycle to drive IQM’s business growth in the region. This role serves as the bridge between Sales, Business Development, Product, and Engineering, ensuring customers fully understand the value of IQM’s quantum computing solutions.

What will I be doing?

  • Partner with sales teams to design and present technical solutions that accelerate customer adoption of IQM’s quantum technologies.

  • Lead technical workshops, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), pilots, and demonstrations to showcase the real-world value of IQM’s quantum computers.

  • Support tendering processes by preparing strong technical proposals, responding to RFIs/RFPs/RFQs, and acting as Technical Bid Manager.

  • Engage with enterprises, governments, and academic institutions to identify use cases and recommend deployment strategies.

  • Represent IQM at conferences, trade shows, and industry events as a thought leader in quantum computing.

  • Collaborate closely with Product, R&D, and Marketing teams to bring customer feedback into IQM’s solutions.

  • Travel across APAC up to 35% to meet customers and partners.

What skills do I need?

  • Strong technical background in quantum computing

  • Experience in high-performance computing (HPC), AI, or cloud technologies is a plus.

  • PhD in physics, engineering, computer science, or a related field, or

    • Relevant proven experience (3+ years) in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting may substitute for the PhD degree.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – able to engage both technical experts and C-level decision-makers.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset with experience designing and delivering PoCs or pilots.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.

  • Fluent English; additional languages are a strong plus.
