Job Description

At Signal AI, we use cutting-edge AI technology to offer clarity on decisions that shape businesses and society. We value restless curiosity, creative thinking, and diverse perspectives as we strive to become AI-native. We believe that AI is a collaborator, not just a tool, and we invite passionate individuals to join us on our journey as we continue to learn, experiment, and grow together.

About the role: what's your purpose?

We are looking for a Technical Relationship Manager (TRM) to join our Lisbon team and become the technical owner for a portfolio of our Premium enterprise clients. Working hand-in-hand with our Enterprise Account Managers, you'll make sure clients get maximum value from the Signal platform, configuring it around their world, enabling their teams, and driving active adoption across every solution they hold.

You'll be the embedded technical partner our clients rely on: the person who understands their use cases deeply, translates them into a well-configured platform, resolves issues, and proactively spots new ways for them to get more value. Your success is measured by the value clients realise and the retention and growth of usage across their users.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities: what you will be doing?

  • Configuring and optimising the Signal platform for your clients (dashboards, saved searches, newsletters, reports, partner workspaces and API enablement) so it fits their use cases precisely.

  • Acting as the named technical point of contact for your accounts: responding to technical requests, and resolving platform issues, bugs and performance concerns through to resolution, escalating to our Product and Technology teams and bringing in Signal experts when needed.

  • Running source checks and investigations to keep each client's content accurate, comprehensive and relevant.

  • Owning user management and access for your accounts: setting up new users, and resolving login, SSO, 2FA and password issues so teams always have smooth access.

  • Building clear, decision-ready dashboards and analytical views, and fielding technical questions from buyers and senior stakeholders.

  • Driving adoption and retention across all of a client's solutions, monitoring usage, and proactively re-engaging users to keep value high.

  • Delivering training for new users and teams as they onboard, and fostering end-user self-sufficiency over time.

  • Partnering with the Enterprise Account Manager as the technical expert in QBRs, renewals and growth conversations, and helping manage client expectations during issues or crises.

  • Taking handover of newly implemented accounts and providing long-term technical continuity, surfacing growth and improvement opportunities to the Enterprise Account Manager.

  • Maintaining technical documentation and configuration notes so client knowledge is always current and handover-ready, and providing structured feedback to Product and Engineering on recurring client challenges and platform improvements.

Who are we looking for?

  • Platform configuration: you enjoy hands-on set-up and optimisation of software; you can take a client's use case and translate it into a well-configured, maintainable platform (dashboards, searches, newsletters, reports, API), including user and access administration.

  • AI literacy: you have a working understanding of AI and NLP concepts (entity resolution, classification, relevance scoring, generative features), enough to configure them, explain them to clients, and troubleshoot when outputs need tuning.

  • Data visualisation: you can build clear, decision-ready dashboards and structure metrics so senior stakeholders can act on them.

  • Troubleshooting: you are technically curious and methodical at diagnosing platform and data issues.

  • Communication: you have excellent communication skills and are comfortable working with both technical and senior business audiences.

  • Self-starter mindset: you proactively identify issues and opportunities and tackle them without being told to do so.

  • Ownership: you're motivated by client outcomes and take ownership of the value and retention of the accounts you support.

Not sure you meet every requirement? Studies show that women and other underrepresented groups often hesitate to apply unless they check every box. At Signal AI, diverse perspectives strengthen our teams, drive innovation, and lead to better performance. So even if your background doesn’t align perfectly with each qualification, we encourage you to apply if you’re passionate about this role.

We're dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where every Signaller feels welcomed, valued, and heard—a place where you can truly thrive as yourself.
