What You’ll Do

  • Engage and Recruit
    Build genuine connections with bright technical professionals through in-person conversations, video meetings, calls, emails, and texts. You’re the trusted guide who helps candidates navigate pivotal career decisions.
  • Source Strategically
    Tap into our robust database, LinkedIn, job platforms, and social channels to identify high-caliber talent and cultivate strong pipelines across engineering, manufacturing, and architecture.
  • Lead the Full Recruiting Process
    Conduct thoughtful interviews, evaluate candidate alignment, present talent to hiring managers, coordinate the hiring journey, and support salary negotiation.
  • Drive Growth and Opportunity
    Collaborate with our sales team by generating leads, participating in strategic initiatives, and contributing ideas that strengthen the reach and reputation of the Konik brand.
  • Represent with Credibility
    Meet with candidates and clients face-to-face, reinforcing the long-term relationships that define Konik’s reputation in the Twin Cities market.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of recruiting or staffing agency experience (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, a Technical field, or related area (preferred, not required)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills—you’re energized by real conversations
  • A competitive, driven, goal-oriented mindset
  • Tech fluency and resourcefulness—you find answers quickly and think creatively
  • A genuine desire to make a positive impact in your community

Company History:

As a leading technical staffing agency in the Midwest, Konik makes the hiring process more personal by forming true connections and treating everyone like family—a value imparted by our founders and instilled in every team member.

Konik was incorporated in 1974 by George Konik , who was a degreed Electrical Engineer. In June 2000, George sold the company to his son, Brad Konik, who is now President. George’s love of hockey was passed down to his son.

Tom Goettl returned to the company in 2009 as Vice President and part-owner. After working with George and Brad previously, he strongly believed in the reputation and future of the company.

In 2016, the company acquired PrimeStaff, another highly reputable technical staffing agency, founded by Kathy Carlsen and Troy Harper. As a result of this merger, the company became Konik Primestaff.

Our rebranded company now bears the name Konik, and we continue to be a leading technical staffing agency in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and Midwest. Our founders values of integrity, sincerity, honesty, and follow-through guide us in creating relationships that go beyond professional transactions—connecting our partners with top talent in architecture, engineering, and manufacturing.
