As a Technical Records Manager, you’ll manage technical operations pertaining to the acquisition of engines and engine parts assets. This role is critical to the success of aviation asset acquisition program, and you will directly influence multi-million-dollar purchasing decisions through meticulous records review and expert technical insight.

What you’ll do:

  • Review and assemble records for potential engine acquisitions. Organize LLP Back to Birth trace, review to find value added components, organize engine trace I/A/W company/industry standards. Facilitate any sales needs.
  • Review and assemble complete technical records packages for engines and engine parts under consideration. Perform full back-to-birth traceability on all Life Limited Parts (LLPs), identify value-added components, and flag any missing, incomplete, or discrepant documentation that could affect asset value or airworthiness.
  • Analyze records to determine whether an engine is suitable for immediate pass-through resale or requires shop visit/overhaul. Incorporate borescope inspection findings, engine performance trend data analysis, proposed work scopes, and full compliance status with OEM Service Bulletins (SBs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and other mandatory modifications.
  • Facilitate logistical movement of acquired engines.
  • Review and “package” engine records and life limited parts back to birth trace I/A/W company/industry sales standards assisting in material sales
  • Review and “package” trace paperwork associated with parts acquisitions to ensure compliance with purchase/sales order and company/industry standards assisting in material sales. Perform in-depth reviews of OEM manuals, Service Bulletins, AD Notes, and regulatory documentation. Identify compliance gaps, calculate remaining life on LLPs, verify maintenance history,
  • Develop and maintain standardized checklists, templates, and review processes to improve efficiency and consistency of records reviews.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation technical records supporting engine maintenance, overhaul, acquisitions, back-to-birth traceability, or pre-closing due diligence activities

  • Experience reviewing and applying OEM manuals, Service Bulletins, and Airworthiness Directives (ADs) for engine parts compliance and documentation validation (CFM56 experience required)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, and maintaining technical records and data sets

  • Experience using computer-based systems (e.g., ERP systems, technical records databases, or maintenance tracking systems) to manage and retrieve operational data

  • Ability to interpret and maintain aviation technical documentation related to engine records and traceability

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with engine parts sales, material planning, or engine lifecycle commercial support activities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional aviation or MRO environment

  • Experience with engine platforms beyond CFM56
