What You Will Contribute:

The Technical Purchaser is responsible for the strategic purchasing and management of the associated suppliers and external manufacturers, as well as ensuring stock availability, taking into account components such as costs and quality.

Job Duties

  • Implementation of global and regional strategies and procurement plans.

  • Responsible for strategic purchasing and management of the associated suppliers and external manufacturers.

  • Execution of inquiries (global) incl. commercial review of offers.

  • Selecting and evaluating new suppliers according to defined criteria.

  • Expanding business relationships with existing suppliers.

  • Independently conducting price and contract negotiations and concluding supply and framework agreements.

  • Preparation of periodic supplier evaluations and development as well as establishment of supplier development measures.

Education

  • Completed education with a technical/business focus (HTL, HAK, FH, etc.)

  • At least 3 years of experience in operational and strategic purchasing

Qualifications

  • MS Office and ERP user knowledge

  • Knowledge of contract drafting

  • Business fluent in German and English

  • Committed, team player

  • Hands-on and proactive

  • Independent and structured way of working

  • Entrepreneurial thinking and results orientation

  • Strong communication and assertiveness

  • Strong negotiating skills

  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally

Additional Information

  • Salary: We follow the Collective Agreement for the Metal Industry (valid from 1 Jan 2026). The minimum full‑time gross salary is €3654 with the possibility of additional overpayment based on experience and qualifications.
