Job Description

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager reporting to the Offensive AI Engineering team.

Why this role is important to us

The offensive AI Engineering team is vital to translate Offensive AI objectives into executable roadmaps, delivery plans, workstreams, and measurable outcomes.

What you will be responsible for

As a Technical Project Manager supporting the Offensive AI Engineering team, you will:

  • Drive Agile delivery across the engineering team, including backlog management, sprint planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives, release planning, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with engineering, cybersecurity, AI/ML, architecture, infrastructure, customers, and control functions to define, document, prioritize, and manage functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Maintain a structured engineering backlog with clearly defined epics, user stories, technical tasks, acceptance criteria, ownership, dependencies, and definitions of done.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, status reports, requirements, decision logs, and risk, issue, action, and dependency trackers.
  • Serve as a central source of program information for the team and project lead, providing an accurate view of delivery progress, milestones, engineering risks, resource constraints, blockers, and decisions requiring escalation.
  • Track execution against sprint commitments, milestones, and release objectives. Identify delivery risks early, remove impediments, facilitate corrective action, and escalate issues with clear options and recommendations.
  • Coordinate technical design reviews, proofs of concept, customer demonstrations, testing cycles, governance reviews, production-readiness activities, and releases.
  • Manage dependencies across AI/ML engineering, software engineering, cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, data, architecture, and enterprise control teams to support coordinated and timely delivery.
  • Ensure authorization, testing boundaries, human oversight, data handling, access controls, auditability, and responsible AI and security requirements are incorporated into project execution.
  • Establish and report meaningful delivery metrics, including backlog health, sprint predictability, milestone completion, blocked work, defects, and release readiness.
  • Prepare concise, executive-ready materials for leadership, customers, and governance forums, clearly communicating progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, and recommended actions.
  • Support resource and capacity planning, hiring coordination, financial tracking, vendor management, and other program-management activities as required.

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • Significant Technical Project or Program Management experience delivering complex software engineering, cybersecurity, AI/ML, cloud, or infrastructure initiatives.
  • Practical experience leading Agile engineering delivery, including backlog management, sprint execution, requirements, release planning, dependency management, and delivery reporting.
  • Technical knowledge sufficient to engage credibly with engineering teams and customers on software development lifecycles, system architecture, APIs, cloud platforms, data dependencies, security controls, and AI/ML concepts.
  • Experience translating business, customer, and technical objectives into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, project plans, and measurable delivery outcomes.
  • Strong ability to identify and manage technical risks, issues, dependencies, scope changes, and decisions across multiple engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Executive-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical work into concise, decision-oriented information for leadership and external customers.
  • Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence, with proficiency in standard project planning, reporting, and presentation tools.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Finance, or a related discipline. Equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered.
  • Typically 10 or more years of professional experience, including substantial experience managing complex technical projects or programs.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with software engineers, cybersecurity professionals, architects, technical product owners, customers, or AI/ML teams.
  • Experience within a large financial institution or another highly regulated industry is strongly preferred.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe, or a comparable project management or Agile certification is preferred.

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $202,500 Annual
