Purpose of the role
Global Blue is a global company operating, amongst others, in the field of VAT refunds to travellers, and is a leading company with the largest amount of TFS transactions in Japan.
Project Integration team is responsible to localize and implement Global attractive systems and services to our fast-growing business in Japan while meeting Japanese quality standards.
The holder of this position will work with IT Manager, Project Integration Japan He/she should work on-site as playing manager, so in addition to management work for mid/small size projects, BAU such as trouble shooting, execution of UAT, preparing Business Requirement Specification in the new projects… these kind of works will be also the part of his/her work.
Responsibilities
Localization
Understand Japanese regulation, merchants’ requests, market trends etc. deeply, and collaborate with Central team to ensure that Japan’s requirements are properly implemented to the Global systems and services.
Implementation
Develop a plan considering also the rollout plan to ensure that the effective date of the law and the date agreed with the customer are met. This requires priority negotiation with each product team, in some cases, with senior managements.
BAU
Global systems and solutions will be improved not only for Japan, but also for other countries. Service quality must be ensured through appropriate degradation testing and release support.
In addition, when trouble happened, Project Integration team will take lead and work with Central team to resolve the issue.
