Job Description

The Role

Beacon acquires vertical market software companies and brings them onto a common operating standard. Integration is the function that runs the window between close and steady state, coordinating IT, Finance, GTM, Legal, and HR so that a newly acquired company lands cleanly rather than by improvisation.

You will run that window. Each integration is a fixed, fast-moving program with a defined start and a defined handoff, and you will be the person holding the plan, the cadence, and the escalations across every function involved. This is a hands-on role. You will drive the plan and you will do work inside it.

What You'll Do

Run integrations from close to handoff. Own the integration plan for each acquisition: scope, sequencing, owners, and dates across every function. Drive the recurring cadence, keep the plan current, and land the handoff on time.

Be the coordination point for the acquired company. Work directly with the GM and their team through their first weeks inside Beacon. Translate between how they operate today and how Beacon operates, and make sure nothing lands on them twice or not at all.

Move companies onto the Beacon standard. Identity, devices, security baselines, and core business systems. You will partner with IT, Security, and the systems owners to sequence the migrations and to unblock them when they stall.

Hold the line on status. Report progress honestly to leadership, including the parts that are behind. Escalate early and with a recommendation attached rather than late and with a surprise.

Run and sharpen the playbook. Each integration should be faster and cleaner than the last. Find the steps that keep breaking, fix them in the playbook, and make the improvement stick across the next one.

Required

  • 5+ years in project or program management, running cross-functional programs end to end

  • Experience coordinating across IT, Finance, GTM, Legal, and HR, or an equivalent set of functions with competing priorities

  • Comfort with technical systems: identity, device management, and core SaaS platforms. You do not need to configure them, but you need to follow the work and ask sharp questions

  • Experience building process, templates, and structure where none existed

  • Strong written communication. Much of this job is a clear status update landing in the right inbox at the right time

  • A bias for action. You would rather move something forward than perfect the plan

  • The agility to adapt when a program changes shape mid-stream, and the confidence to get hands-on when it needs you

Nice to Have

  • Post-close M&A integration experience, in-house or in advisory

  • Exposure to IAM, MDM, or SSO rollouts

  • Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, or SOX ITGC programs

  • Automation experience

  • A habit of spotting the smarter way to do something and then doing it

Our Values at Beacon Software

  • Humility We acknowledge that the path to getting to the right answer involves being wrong along the way. We have strong beliefs which are weakly held. We actively seek new ideas and believe we can learn from anyone at any time.

  • Honesty We are truth seeking in our approach to business problems. Business is a repeat game and we believe that human relationships generate alpha. We understand that trust is earned over a lifetime and can be lost in an instant.

  • Hunger We play to win. We hold ourselves to high standards and will not be outworked. We take pride in having a deep sense of responsibility to ourselves, each other, our partners, and our customers. We believe to whom much is given much is expected.

  • Horizon We seek to build a generational software company. This will take decades. We manage our expectations and those of our partners to take advantage of the 8th wonder of the world - compounding growth.

How We Use AI in Our Hiring Process: To ensure transparency, we want candidates to know that Beacon Software uses Artificial Intelligence and AI-enabled tools to assist with screening, reviewing, organizing and highlighting profiles and applications that match the key requirements for each role.

AI does not make hiring decisions: Every application is reviewed by a member of our team, and all decisions throughout the process are made by humans. We use AI to support efficiency and consistency, not to replace human judgment. We are committed to a fair, thoughtful, and equitable experience for every candidate.

About Beacon Software

Beacon is the permanent home for Main Street software and services supporting the real economy. We buy, build, and grow exceptional mission-critical software businesses, preserving their legacy while expanding the scale of their founders’ ambitions.

Our model is different. Unlike private equity, we don’t buy to flip. We hold forever, investing in product, customers, and teams for the long term. Founders who join Beacon gain more than capital: they access in-house engineering, AI, design, and fintech expertise, as well as a network spanning Silicon Valley, Wall Street, and Main Street.

We simplify the back office, accelerate growth with proven playbooks, and give founders the freedom to focus on what they do best: building great software for their markets.

Every company under the Beacon umbrella remains independent, with its own brand and customers, but benefits from shared resources and immediate value creation. Our approach has already helped portfolio companies win major RFPs, modernize technology stacks, and expand market share.

Beacon was founded by experienced operators and investors from companies like D1 Capital, Instacart, Sequoia Capital, and Databricks who believe ambitious software deserves a forever home. Our success is measured founder by founder, company by company, and we’re just getting started.
