Project Manager (Enterprise Software Implementation)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale, enterprise-level software implementation projects. This role is responsible for managing multi-year, multi-million-dollar initiatives that span multiple business units.

The Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product management, business analysis, development, and quality assurance—to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while meeting the highest quality standards. This position plays a key role in driving project governance, risk management, and continuous improvement in delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of enterprise software implementations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, tracking progress against scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, and costs, applying structured change management and verification processes.
  • Oversee project financials, including budget management, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; maintain and manage risk registers and issue logs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate project planning activities, including defining goals, deliverables, resource requirements, and success criteria.
  • Lead project teams, assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Coordinate and support key project phases, including design, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Ensure adherence to established project management methodologies, standards, and controls
  • Manage and implement change control processes, including documenting, costing, and scheduling approved changes.
  • Provide regular status reporting and communicate project updates, risks, and resolutions to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Advocate for client needs and collaborate across teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery.

Project Lifecycle Expertise

Demonstrated experience managing all phases of the project lifecycle, including:

  • Initiation
  • Discovery (scope, requirements, and definition)
  • Execution & Control (development, configuration, resource management, deliverables)
  • Validation (QA, UAT, training, transition planning)
  • Deployment (go-live)
  • Post-Implementation Support (hypercare and ongoing maintenance)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in enterprise software implementations.
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Proven experience managing multi-million-dollar projects
  • Experience in Justice, Public Safety, or Public Sector environments preferred.
  • Must be able to work within the Eastern Time Zone

  • Strong leadership, team management, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Advanced organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in project tracking and performance tools (e.g., Azure DevOps preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based with extended periods working at a computer.
  • Collaborative and generally informal work environment.
  • Occasional in-person meetings or events may require business professional attire.
