Job Description

We are looking for a technically strong Project Manager who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, people, and delivery and guides guide challenging computer vision projects from concept to deployment.

You lead a team of engineers and act as the main point of contact for customers. You combine technical understanding with structured project leadership and ensure that solutions are robust, scalable, and ready for real-world use.

This role requires a broad technical foundation with depth where it matters. You understand how the different layers of a vision system connect — from optical design and hardware integration to software architecture, algorithms, AI models, and testing methodology.

What You Will Do

Lead End-to-End Vision Projects

  • Guide the development of advanced computer vision systems.
  • Oversee the full stack: optical setup, hardware design, embedded/software components, algorithms, AI models, and validation.
  • Ensure solutions are architecturally sound and future-proof.
  • Balance innovation with reliable delivery.

Own Customer Collaboration

  • Translate customer needs into structured technical roadmaps.
  • Act as the primary contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Align technical decisions with business objectives.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly.

Drive Engineering Excellence

  • Contribute to system architecture decisions.
  • Safeguard software quality and maintainability.
  • Ensure strong development processes across projects.
  • Embed DevOps practices (CI/CD, automation, deployment) and MLOps principles (model lifecycle, monitoring, reproducibility).

Ensure Structured Delivery

  • Manage planning, resources, budgets, and reporting.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external partners.
  • Contribute to improving internal project methodology and tools together with the COO.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Technical Breadth with Depth
    • Experience in Computer Vision, Image Processing, AI, or Machine Learning.
    • A broad understanding of complete vision systems — not just isolated algorithms.
    • Awareness of system architecture, integration challenges, and validation strategies.
    • Experience where R&D meets industrial deployment.
  • Software & Process Mindset
    • Strong understanding of modern software development practices.
    • Experience with DevOps workflows and CI/CD environments.
    • Familiarity with MLOps and productionizing machine learning systems.
    • Structured approach to testing, validation, and quality assurance.
  • Project & Communication Skills
    • Experience managing complex technical projects.
    • Strong prioritization and ownership mindset.
    • Clear communicator, comfortable with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Fluent in Dutch and English.
    • Project management training or certification is a plus.
