The client's Vision and Automation Services (VAAS) is distributed across our manufacturing site locations. This group within the client builds innovative IT solutions supporting manufacturing, leveraging current and emerging technologies. The focus includes many different technologies around computer vision, automation, XR, Robotics, and AI. Our work supports the client manufacturing goals to build quality products with zero defects.
The client has several locations throughout the country/world. The manufacturing locations are responsible for producing vehicles, and parts for the vehicle. Whenever the manufacturing plant shuts down, the client loses millions of dollars by the minute. Whenever a vehicle is finished being made, it is sent to a dealership. If that vehicle was manufactured with defects, the client loses money by having to fix it through warranty spend.
This project is to install AI Based Cameras throughout manufacturing facilities, which will be able to identify defects at the plant and in the manufacturing process of the vehicle. By doing this, the client will save millions of dollars by eliminating plants being shut down and vehicles being sold with defects.
WHAT WE NEED - We currently have 14 people on this project. The first phase of the project is to identify where cameras will be installed throughout the assembly line. In order to get this done, we will need someone with a project management/team lead that can speak to plant users, skilled trades, etc. There is also a development/configuration component. As the project advances, this person will need to get the cameras online through configuration with the full-time development team. This is done via computer vision. any experience with python or scripting languages is useful.

This is a Contract position based out of Lake Orion, MI.
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
