Job Description

Technical Project Manager, Panes Center of Excellence – VELUX - Brædstrup

Step into a role where you will contribute to the development of robust and efficient manufacturing solutions. With your technical insight and hands-on understanding of production environments, you will play a key role in developing and improving production setups that support innovation, cost efficiency, and successful New Product Launches.

Meet your future team

You will join Center of Excellence (CoE) Panes in Brædstrup, where we work at the intersection of operations and development. CoE Panes is a global team located in Brædstrup. We are a team of project managers and technical specialists focusing on the future manufacturing setup in VELUX.

We have a holistic view on the entire supply chain to make sure the manufacturing processes involving Panes are as efficiency as possible, safe for our people and according to our process standard and quality requirement.

In this role, you will primarily collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders based in Denmark, while also supporting selected assembly sites in Europe when relevant.

What we offer

In this role, you will manage a wide range of technical projects across glass manufacturing. You will transform new product concepts into mature production setups, implement technological upgrades, and help transfer and scale solutions across factories. You will act as the connector between product development, technology, and production, ensuring that new technologies and products are introduced efficiently and with high production robustness.

More specifically, your tasks will be to:

  • Leading projects from concept to implementation, within the field of glass manufacturing.
  • Defining technical specifications and managing the procurement of manufacturing technologies and production equipment (cutting, tempering, laminating, and production lines).
  • Participating in process optimization, quality improvement, and product cost reduction initiatives across all glass manufacturing plants of the VELUX Group.
  • Preparing and maintaining technical requirement specifications in close cooperation with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Project planning, coordination, and execution, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget – in close collaboration with the glass factories.
  • Problem-solving and close cooperation with cross-functional teams.
  • Supporting the standardization of production lines and technical solutions across the various sites

International travel of approximately 40–50 days per year, primarily within Europe, should be expected.

What you will bring

You are a structured, proactive, and collaborative Project Manager who takes ownership and delivers consistently. You thrive in a highly technical environment and enjoy working across factory sites, functions, and cultures. Your curious mindset and analytical approach enable you to challenge existing processes and contribute to continuous improvements, always with the goal of creating business value.

Through strong communication and stakeholder management skills, you build trust and ensure alignment across teams. When priorities shift, you remain adaptable, focused, and solution oriented.

Moreover, we expect that you:

  • A higher education degree in manufacturing engineering, production engineering, mechanical engineering, automation, or a similar field
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in preparing technical specifications and procuring production equipment.
  • Experience in technical project management and project planning/execution.
  • A thorough understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes and their interconnections.
  • Practical knowledge of manufacturing technologies is an advantage, ideally with experience in glass technology, though not a requirement.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of laser technology, ventilation solutions, and manufacturing processes in clean room environments is highly desirable.
  • Bring several years of practical project management experience in a technical environment with multiple workstreams
  • Have strong planning and coordination skills and are comfortable delegating and following up
  • Communicate effortlessly in English, verbally and in writing. Danish is an advantage but not required

We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all requirements. We value different career paths, learning ability, and motivation.
