Job Description

The Technical Manager is responsible for management of all the technical management activities defined in Customer contract in terms of quality, risk and time from delivery approach preparation through deployment, customer acceptance and care phase. Acts as primary technical interface and first technical escalation point within the Customer project.

As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all technical management activities defined in the customer contract, ensuring quality, mitigating risks, and meeting timelines from delivery preparation through deployment, customer acceptance, and the care phase.


You will act as the primary technical interface and the first point of technical escalation within the customer project. In this role, you will continuously strive to learn and adopt the latest technologies, enhance your product knowledge, and deliver the best possible service aligned with customer requirements.

You have:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), as this role requires extensive interaction with customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Optical Transmission and/or network products.
  • Hands-on experience in managing and operating optical transmission management systems
  • Passion and drive to adopt automation and AI application in optical networking.
  • End-to-end understanding of optical transmission solutions.
  • Proven ability in end-to-end troubleshooting, analysis, issue management, escalation handling, and driving Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Strong customer stakeholder management skills at both technical and project levels, with effective communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Solid negotiation skills, including the ability to prioritize and negotiate with customers on business-critical technical issues and decisions.

It would be nice if you also have:

  • Background in R&D or Development
  • Japanese proficiency is a strong plus.
  • Expertise in Cloud platforms and infrastructure, including Linux, OpenStack Helm, Kubernetes, Docker, and container technologies.
  • Understanding of Layer 2 forwarding and Layer 3 routing
  • Knowledge of Mobile Network 4G/5G Fronthaul (CPRI/eCPRI).
