Step into a role where you will drive technical development and implementation projects that make a real impact. With your structured approach, technical expertise, and analytical mindset, you could be our next Technical Project Manager in the Center of Excellence – Maintenance‑Free Materials.

This position is a 1‑year maternity cover.

Meet your future team

You will join the Center of Excellence – Maintenance‑Free Materials, located in Thyregod, Denmark. The team works across functions and sites to develop, mature, and implement robust technical solutions that support both New Product Launch (NPL) projects and improvements of existing processes.

We act as a technical partner for production and suppliers, with a strong focus on process capability, automation, quality, and innovation. In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders as well as external suppliers, including through international supplier visits.

What we offer

You will take on a key role in technical projects, combining hands‑on technical work with structured project execution. You will contribute directly to shaping and improving production processes within a strategic area of VELUX.

More specifically, your tasks will be to:

  • Act as track lead for the painting process in New Product Launch projects

  • Support the implementation of vacuum plasma technology

  • Investigate upgrade and automation opportunities within paint line solutions

  • Define and document technical requirements for selected solutions (CAPEX)

  • Plan and execute Design of Experiments (DoE)

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers

  • Ensure technically mature, validated, and well‑documented solutions ready for implementation

The role includes international travel related to supplier visits, typically 10–20 days per year.

What you will bring

You thrive in a technical project role and enjoy working at the intersection of analysis, structure, and practical problem‑solving. You take ownership of your tasks and contribute actively to team results.

Moreover, we expect that you:

  • Have experience with technical or engineering projects, preferably in a production or process environment

  • Have experience with technical requirement specifications and CAPEX projects

  • Are familiar with or have experience using Six Sigma, DoE, or similar methodologies

  • Work in a structured and analytical manner

  • Are creative and solution‑oriented

  • Are a strong team player who collaborates effectively across disciplines

  • Communicate fluently in English, both orally and in writing

  • Hold a relevant technical degree at bachelor’s or master’s level

We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all requirements. We value learning ability, motivation, and diverse career paths.
