Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program management.
• Experience in program management of ML or AI model training/evaluation, and experience with traditional software development.

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience with both early-stage ML research and managing ML production systems (deployment and launches), as well as some familiarity with hardware lifecycle management and development practices.
• Experience with the software development life cycle, and assisting in commercializing technical product launches.
• Experience with program management for projects that span multiple teams geographically disparate locations.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. Responsibilities

• Drive full lifecycle development of large-scale ML models while enforcing strict AI governance, safety, and compliance standards prior to ML/product deployment.
• Partner with legal, policy, compliance, and engineering stakeholders to navigate competing organizational priorities, establish cross-functional alignment, and translate complex technical requirements into repeatable operational protocols.
• Manage complex technical interdependencies across distinct workstreams, synchronizing data engineering pipelines with model training schedules to drive swift execution, maintain defensible release plans, and proactively mitigate key risks.
• Optimize engineering efforts and maximize resource efficiency across teams by consolidating redundant baseline Large Language Model (LLM) fine-tuning initiatives and building robust, shared data pipelines across enterprise use cases.
• Act as a quality advocate with internal teams and external ODM partners, managing status communications, escalating critical issues, and defining schedule inputs to deliver user experiences.
