A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Pixel Carrier Certification, you will drive the end-to-end laboratory testing and certification life cycle for Pixel smartphones and cellular-capable wireless devices. Within the Conformance and Carrier Lab team, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for GCF (Global Certification Forum), PTCRB (PCS Type Certification Review Board), and CTIA (Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association), and carrier-specific testing standards.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical execution and strategic program management. You will manage multiple simultaneous New Product Introduction (NPI) and In-Market projects, ensuring all devices strictly comply with 3GPP (4G LTE/5G NR) and carrier requirements. You will serve as a crucial technical pivot point partnering directly with leading test equipment vendors (such as Keysight, Rohde and Schwarz, and Anritsu) to ensure system readiness, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot complex protocol/RF issues, and aligning resources across global labs to guarantee seamless, on-time product launches.
