As a Technical Program Manager III at Amazon, you will own the lifecycle of cross-functional programs that drive meaningful impact across the organization. You will define program strategy, align business and engineering stakeholders, and deliver results at scale. This role puts you at the intersection of technology and business, where your ability to navigate complexity, make sound trade-offs, and communicate effectively will shape the direction of critical initiatives.
Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
You start by reviewing program metrics and status updates to identify emerging risks or blockers. Mid-morning, you facilitate a cross-team alignment meeting where engineering leads discuss architectural trade-offs and you help the group reach a clear decision. After lunch, you draft a program update narrative for senior leadership, distilling complex technical details into concise recommendations. Later, you connect with a partner team to scope an upcoming integration, mapping dependencies and defining milestones. Throughout, you balance strategic planning with hands-on problem solving.
About the team

We work closely with engineering, product, and business partners to tackle problems that require coordination across organizational boundaries. We value clear thinking, collaborative problem solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement. If you are looking for a role where your technical judgment and program leadership will have a visible, lasting impact, we would love to hear from you.

Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are driven by the excitement of building technologies, inventing products, and providing services that change lives. We embrace new ways of doing things, make decisions quickly, and are not afraid to fail. We have the scope and capabilities of a large company, and the spirit and heart of a small one.
Together, Amazonians research and develop new technologies from Amazon Web Services to Alexa on behalf of our customers: shoppers, sellers, content creators, and developers around the world.
Our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer top of mind.
You'll also hear us say that at Amazon, it's always "Day 1." What do we mean? That our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon's very first day - to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and focus on delighting our customers.
