Within Microsoft, Digital Infrastructure Engineering Services team is chartered to deliver innovative experiences across our hosted ecosystem. Experiences such as abstracted hybrid provisioning, intelligent manageability, telemetry, advanced security, and OS management, and implementing modern technologies for network, and hosting infrastructure. Being part of IES, the Right candidate will own delivering cutting-edge infrastructure services for this large portfolio which includes understanding and delivering against customer-led scenarios ranging from providing modern devices connectivity for global sites, adopting cloud capabilities, Infrastructure compliance, stability, and reliability initiatives, and accelerate AI driven automation that lowers human toil and strengthens compliance at global scale.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead with a clear vision by delivering industry‑leading, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions for the enterprise.
  • Plan and drive end‑to‑end execution of IT infrastructure programs across the portfolio, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Develop comprehensive program timelines, estimate levels of effort, manage milestones, and proactively course‑correct to maintain schedule, cost, and quality through effective risk mitigation.
  • Orchestrate intake, planning, communication, testing, and stakeholder engagement across diverse cross‑functional teams.
  • Define and negotiate service contracts with suppliers by leveraging engineering and service expertise to shape technical specifications, SLAs, KPIs, and capabilities.
  • Enhance service reliability through good engineering practices, data‑driven insights, and systematic hardware/software refresh and optimization programs.
  • Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement in existing processes and lead initiatives from ideation through successful implementation.
  • Drive service innovation by fostering and modelling a product‑engineering mindset across the team.
  • Partner closely with key stakeholders to oversee procurement, installation, configuration, testing, and deployment of IT infrastructure.
  • Modernize infrastructure capabilities through market research, adoption of emerging technologies, and collaboration with product management teams.
  • Implement AI‑driven automation to reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and strengthen compliance at global scale.
  • Build and sustain, collaborative relationships with business partners, application program managers, ISPs, OEM vendors, and engineering peers.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ year of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience in leading IT infrastructure programs in complex, multi‑system environments as a Technical Program Manager.
  • 4+ years of end‑to‑end delivery experience across IT infrastructure services, including RFPs, SOWs, supplier management and KPI definition.
  • Proven ability to drive full‑lifecycle infrastructure programs—planning, budgeting, procurement, installation, configuration, deployment, and contract management.
  • organizational, planning, and program management skills.
  • Deep expertise in IT infrastructure and networking technologies.
  • Exposure to applying AI to modernize workflows is a plus.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude, customer‑centric mindset, and bias for action.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies is an added advantage.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and high‑quality materials.
  • Skilled in applying project management methodologies, including Agile.
  • Consistently builds good customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to bring structure to abstract ideas and nurture them into executable plans.
  • Technically savvy, with the ability to solve both technical and non‑technical challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience in building AI powered experiences for IT Infrastructure. 
  • Experience in dealing with cross geographical teams and stakeholders.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
