Technical Program Manager for End User Sales Reporting and Analytics

The End Customer Sales Data & Analytics team, part of the global Enterprise Data & Analytics organization, delivers reporting and analytics solutions to 4,000+ global stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making across Sales, Finance, and Operations.
The Technical Program Manager leads the strategy, governance, and end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional BI, analytics, and data management programs. The role operates at the intersection of business strategy, data architecture, and execution, ensuring scalable, reliable, and business-aligned data solutions.
This is a senior individual contributor role with enterprise-wide influence, responsible for driving alignment across business and technical stakeholders, managing dependencies, and ensuring consistent delivery excellence in a highly matrixed environment
Responsibilities
1. Strategic Program Leadership
- Lead large-scale BI and data programs with high business impact across multiple functions and regions
- Define and drive program roadmaps, priorities, and success metrics aligned with enterprise strategy
- Partner with senior business and technical leaders to shape direction and balance short-term needs with long-term data strategy
- Ensure transparency through structured program governance, executive reporting, and decision frameworks
2. End-to-End Delivery Ownership
- Own full lifecycle delivery of complex analytics and reporting initiatives (intake → design → build → release → stabilization)
- Orchestrate execution across data engineering, BI, platform, and business teams
- Manage dependencies, risks, and trade-offs, ensuring predictable and high-quality delivery
- Lead release governance, readiness, and post-release stabilization
3. Business & Technical Alignment
- Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications
- Ensure alignment between business expectations, data models, reporting logic, and system capabilities
- Partner with Solution Owners and engineering teams to drive scalable, fit-for-purpose solutions
- Challenge complexity and drive simplification, standardization, and reuse
4. Portfolio Prioritization & Governance
- Drive prioritization of initiatives based on business value, risk, dependencies, and feasibility
- Establish and maintain governance processes for intake, scope control, and release planning
- Ensure reporting solutions are well-documented, supported, and aligned with business priorities
- Clarify ownership, accountability, and support models across delivery and operations
5. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and drive improvements in reporting processes, data flows, and delivery practices
- Promote automation, standardization, and simplification across the analytics landscape
- Monitor solution performance (data quality, adoption, stability) and drive improvements
- Strengthen delivery discipline through structured planning, tracking, and communication mechanisms
6. Quality, Risk & Change Management
- Ensure high standards of data quality, validation, and operational readiness
- Lead UAT, release readiness, and post-release support planning
- Proactively manage risks across delivery, data, and business adoption
- Drive effective change management from development through operational handover
7. Stakeholder Management & Influence
- Act as a senior interface between business and technical organizations
- Influence senior stakeholders through clear communication and structured recommendations
- Align diverse priorities in a matrixed global environment
- Represent the BI/Data domain in enterprise programs and transformation initiatives
Education & Experience Recommended
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data/Analytics, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in technical program management or data/analytics delivery
- Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional programs in global organizations
- Strong experience delivering BI, reporting, and data analytics solutions at scale
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Deep understanding of data ecosystems, BI/reporting, and analytics architectures
- Strong experience with tools such as Power BI, ThoughtSpot, or similar platforms
- Solid knowledge of data models, data flows, and reporting logic
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and compliance frameworks
- Strong understanding of Sales, Finance, and commercial processes
- Experience with enterprise tools (e.g., CRM, planning, or finance systems) is a plus
Program & Leadership Skills
- Advanced program management expertise (Agile and Waterfall)
- Strong skills in roadmap planning, dependency management, and risk mitigation
- Proven ability to drive execution in matrixed environments without direct authority
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively under ambiguity and complexity
