About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The GCP/SRE + TI Education Team (GET) is at the forefront of enabling the next generation of technical expertise within Google Cloud. Our remit extends across all internal Google Cloud developers and adjacent teams, ensuring they have the technical proficiency and innovative mindset to build the world's most reliable and performant cloud infrastructure and products.

GET is leading the charge in enablement across technical domains. This role sits within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) organization, bridging the gap between deep systems infrastructure, Cloud product development, and the future of AI-driven engineering. We focus on breaking down complex problems into manageable areas, such as the andragogical and heutagogical approaches to teaching AI, amplifying adoption through scalable mechanisms, and embedding AI tools directly into existing learning experiences.

Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $192,000-$278,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Learn more about benefits at Google

Responsibilities

  • Lead the conception and execution of technical learning strategies that bridge traditional CS systems, Cloud product development, and AI-native engineering practices for all Google Cloud developers.
  • Author, review, and curate high-quality technical content. Design and deliver learning experiences that enable engineers to architect, evaluate, and build AI-native features into existing Cloud products and create new AI-first products for the Google Cloud ecosystem.
  • Lead high-visibility technical strategies, including the curation and editorial leadership of premier internal technical newsletters. Integrate AI concepts within existing learning experiences, making AI a practical layer in other training rather than a standalone topic to bridge the gap between knowing and doing.
  • Partner with GCP/SRE + TI leadership to translate high-level business objectives into technical specifications and platform enhancements for workforce enablement.
