PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION
meoSphere is SES’s next-generation Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellite constellation, designed to deliver secure connectivity services to government agencies, enterprises, and commercial customers. It will also provide high-speed broadband internet to eliminate global connectivity dead zones.
To accelerate development timelines, reduce costs, and ensure quality, SES is internalizing a critical segment of the satellite supply chain: the final integration of partner satellite platforms with SES’s software-defined payloads, all within a cutting-edge manufacturing and test facility.
ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Agile Technical Program Manager (ATPM) is responsible for leading the execution, planning, integration, agile delivery and overall programmatic performance of a major team/segment as part of the greater meoSphere Integrated Product Team (IPT).
Reporting to the VP Programme Management and matrixed into the relevant segment team, the ATPM forms a delivery leadership partnership with the segment Technical Lead, combining technical understanding with agile execution, conventional program controls, cross-segment integration and IPT leadership to ensure successful delivery of program objectives.
The ATPM is a key driver of SES's transformation towards a highly agile, collaborative and integrated way of working, enabling rapid learning cycles, continuous integration and delivery across the meoSphere programme.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
Programme & Delivery Leadership
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of the assigned segment/team.
- Partner with the Technical Lead to establish priorities, objectives, and delivery plans.
- Drive alignment between technical activities, programme objectives, and business priorities.
- Foster collaboration across segments and promote a One-Team culture across meoSphere and wider SES stakeholders.
Agile Execution
- Foster a culture of innovation, speed and accountability, leveraging iterative development, rapid prototyping and continuous learning.
- Support implementation of SAFe-inspired agile practices across the programme.
- Facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives for the assigned segment/team.
- Drive transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement through agile delivery practices.
- Monitor delivery performance against PI objectives, identify blockers, and drive resolution to maintain delivery commitments.
Programme Management
- Manage scope, schedule, resources, risks, issues, and change activities for the assigned segment.
- Develop and maintain integrated delivery plans, milestone schedules and forecasts, ensuring early identification of delivery risks.
- Coordinate dependencies across programme segments and external partners, driving timely resolution of integration and delivery risks.
- Support programme reporting, forecasting and governance activities, providing clear visibility of delivery health and progress.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary programme interface for the assigned segment.
- Engage with engineering, operations, procurement, finance, suppliers and leadership stakeholders.
- Provide timely and accurate status, risk, dependency, and decision information to support effective programme execution.

Qualifications Background and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or another relevant technical discipline.
- Typically 8+ years of relevant experience leading complex technical programmes, projects or engineering developments.
- Experience delivering major subsystems, workstreams or integrated teams within a complex technical environment.
- Strong programme and project management experience covering scope, schedule, cost, risk, resource and change management.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering, integration and verification activities.
- Practical experience working in Agile environments and applying Agile delivery practices.
- Experience within the satellite, space, aerospace, telecommunications or similarly complex systems industries.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications
- Experience with SAFe, Agile Release Trains or other large-scale Agile delivery frameworks.
- Understanding of LEO, MEO and GEO satellite systems, ground infrastructure and network integration.
- Experience using enterprise programme and project management tools to support planning, reporting and governance.
- Professional certification in programme/project management, Agile delivery or systems engineering (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, PMI-ACP, Scrum, INCOSE).
- Experience working within highly regulated, safety-critical or mission-critical engineering environments.
OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS
- The candidate must be eligible for a “SECRET” security clearance, in accordance with the national regulations as well as EU/ESA/NATO equivalents
- Willing to work 60% onsite from office
- Travel as required for project realization purposes
