
We are seeking a Technical Product Owner to support Billing and Finance teams within a Fleet Management organization specializing in vehicle leasing. This role blends business analysis, product ownership, and hands-on data investigation to ensure accurate billing, invoicing, and financial processing.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of billing and finance concepts, demonstrates strong SQL proficiency, and is comfortable supporting production issues. Training will be provided on company-specific systems and processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• Act as a Product Owner / Business Analyst within an Agile team, translating business needs into user stories and requirements • Support Billing and Finance teams by analyzing and resolving billing, invoicing, and data-related issues
• Use SQL extensively to investigate data discrepancies and perform controlled database updates
• Maintain and update billing configurations, including billing events, pricing formulas, account codes, and interest rate setups
• Support trade management activities to maximize tax credit utilization and ensure accurate client billing when manual adjustments are required.
• investigate and resolve journal entry discrepancies in partnership with Finance.
• Assist with invoice generation issues, prior invoice regeneration, and billing job failures
• Support vehicle and asset lifecycle updates that impact billing (asset master updates, cancellations, refurbishments)
• Assist in addressing queries related to vehicle depreciation and pricing
• Resolve issues related to system dependencies including EDI, integrations, and data migrations.
• Identify and propose system and process improvements, including clear requirements, to prevent recurrence of billing and finance issues.
• Support audit inquiries and ensure billing system changes are aligned with financial controls and compliance requirements. LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES• This position has no managerial responsibilities.
COMPETENCIES - SKILLS
• Strong SQL skills and experience working directly with relational databases • Solid understanding of billing, invoicing, payment terms, interest calculations, and financial data
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and/or Accounting required. • Five (5)+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role supporting billing or finance systems
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Experience supporting financial close or month-end processes preferred
• Experience with ERP or billing platforms preferred
• Experience in fleet management, vehicle leasing, or asset-based billing preferred
• Experience supporting data migrations, batch jobs, or system integrations preferred CORE VALUES

Work Environment: This position is primarily based in an office setting with a standard professional environment. This role follows a hybrid model, with certain days required in the office and others designated for remote work. There is an expectation to attend in-person meetings and collaborative sessions as needed. Positions Type/Standard Schedule: Full Time, Monday thru Friday

Physical Demands: The role is primarily sedentary, involving prolonged periods of sitting and extensive use of a computer and other office equipment.

Pay Range:
$79,100-$110,800
The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan which is based on company performance and individual performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience, education, certifications, skill level and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
