[What the role is]

About SGN

The Singapore Global Network (SGN) is a division in the Economic Development Board tasked to re-energise Singapore’s efforts in building a strong and extensive ecosystem of overseas Family, Friends, Fans (3F) for Singapore. SGN leads the Whole-Of-Government effort to coordinate across agencies and strengthen our collective networks whose skills, affinity and influence could help build linkages to global business and talent communities, and enhance the international mindshare of Singapore as a leading globally-connected city.

We are looking to hire a Technical Product Manager to join our team of passionate and creative technology professionals committed to using modern software development practices such as product management, design thinking and agile to achieve SGN’s business objectives. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the development of our data lakehouse and member facing digital products.

[What you will be working on]

Support in theentire product lifecycle of assigned digital products, from planning to execution in support ofSGNstrategy or digitalobjectives

This includes

  • Understanding user requirements andworking with business units todevelopthe product vision;

  • Partnering your stakeholders todeterminethe product features and functions;

  • Managing communications between cross-functional teamand senior stakeholders;

  • Translating business requirements into smaller task in consultant with the engineering team;

  • Providingusersupport of the product over its product life cycle, including development of user guides;

  • Providing business user with level 1 technical support, understanding the technical requirements, before escalating to the engineering team

  • Conduct procurement exercises such as tenders and requests for proposals to obtain solutions and services for the delivery of the product;

  • Review proposals or plans by external service provider toassess whether we should carry out a project in-house orout-sourced;

  • With support fromthe security team, conduct risk assessment and mitigation and ensure compliance with government and EDB policies, risk management;

  • Establish standards and procedures for reporting and documentation;

  • Continuously benchmark team performance toidentifyimprovements and achieve higher capability maturity

[What we are looking for]

Requirements

  • Some knowledge of project managementmethodology, or familiarity with major defined PM approaches, e.g., AGILE, Scrum.

  • Stronganalytics skillset(e.g. ability to pull your own data andanalyse results), Tableau knowledgewouldbe a plus

  • Basic understanding of data modelling

  • Understand of UI/UX and user requirements gathering.

  • A distinctive blend of business acumen, as well as strong planning and communication skills.

Good to have

  • Basic programming knowledge would be a plus. Minimally, have an interest to pick up some basic knowledge as part of OJT.

  • Good understanding of government’s procurement processes and guidelines

  • Experience in cross-division project and stakeholder management.

  • Familiarity with modern tech products and services such as AWS, Notion and APIgateways

  • Interest in technology trends such as AI integrations and agentic workflows
