How will you impact?

The Product Manager in Customer Fulfilment Automation will have the opportunity to build industry-leading automation solutions for fulfilment sites to help transform the retail landscape, solidifying our clients position as a frontrunner in the online retail domain.

In this role, you will oversee the development of automated fulfilment technologies for the company's online strategy. You will drive product strategy, working closely with Business Operations and collaborating with various stakeholders to optimise fulfilment processes, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Drive Product Strategy: Drive product strategy for customer fulfilment automation solutions and create product roadmaps to secure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Lead Discovery & Frameworks: Lead product discovery initiatives to identify user needs, map service design blueprints, identify user personas, and define Jobs-to-be-done frameworks.
  • Manage Backlogs: Prioritise capabilities and tasks while managing SCRUM team backlogs effectively.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with Business Operations and cross-functional stakeholders to optimise fulfilment processes.
  • Vendor & Market Management: Work with third-party vendors to define and implement automation capabilities while evaluating market solutions to drive product-led transformation.
  • Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure products meet high standards for resiliency, security, reliability, and observability.
  • Market Insights: Conduct market research and leverage insights to shape product vision and strategic direction.
  • Team Support: Support and mentor junior team members and graduates.

What you'll bring to the role:

Essential Requirements:

  • Warehouse & Logistics Expertise: Proven experience building warehouse or logistics solutions (WMS or WES) for warehouses or retail fulfilment centres , integrating applications with robotics, conveyors, IoT, and AI , and defining warehouse operations using standard workflows (decant, goods-to-person picking, consolidation, marshalling).
  • Product Management Experience: Hands-on experience conducting product discoveries to map service design blueprints and working with UX/Design Research teams to define user flows and wireframes.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of API and backend systems (data storage, movement, and security within complex distributed systems) , plus knowledge of software development methodologies.
  • Agile Proficiency: Expert implementation of agile methodologies in fast-paced environments , with hands-on experience using JIRA, MIRO, Confluence, and Aha.
  • Data & Analytics: Skilled in utilizing quantitative/qualitative data and gaining insights to inform product decisions.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business fundamentals (commercial drivers, business metrics, performance indicators) and active engagement in market research.
  • Soft Skills: Methodical, analytical approach to complex problem-solving ; excellent written, verbal, presentation, and persuasion skills ; and a collaborative, value-centric working style.
