Our client is seeking a Technical Product Manager to join their growing team in Malta. The selected candidate will play a key role in shaping and delivering digital banking and payment solutions, working at the intersection of business, technology, and regulatory compliance. Co-leading the product strategy and roadmap for digital banking, payment, and platform initiatives
Owning the full product lifecycle, from concept and requirements gathering through to launch and continuous improvement
Collaborating with Development, IT, Compliance, Operations, Client Relations, and external vendors to deliver innovative and compliant solutions
Translating business requirements and regulatory obligations into clear product initiatives and technical specifications
Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancement
Driving data-informed product decisions through analytics, reporting, and performance monitoring
Supporting the prioritisation and execution of roadmap initiatives aligned with business goals
Ensuring products comply with relevant regulatory frameworks including PSD2, AML/KYC, Instant Payment Regulations, and other banking requirements
Working closely with stakeholders to align priorities, manage expectations, and ensure successful product delivery
Mentoring and supporting junior product team members while promoting a culture of ownership and continuous improvement
Previous experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or Technical Product roles within banking, fintech, or financial services
Strong understanding of digital banking platforms, payment flows, APIs, and core banking systems
Experience managing end-to-end product lifecycles and roadmap planning
Ability to work across technical and non-technical teams and manage multiple stakeholders
Familiarity with data analysis, reporting tools, QA processes, and product performance metrics
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Commercial mindset with the ability to balance innovation, compliance, and business objectives
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field would be considered an asset
