Role & Department Summary

As part of Rakuten Group Inc’s AI initiatives, our team is building cutting-edge data and AI products that deliver personalized experiences across Rakuten’s ecosystem. We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of scalable, AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical product development for new and existing AI/software products.

• Contribute to business requirements and ideation.

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

• Oversee product development projects.

• Optionally, lead general product management activities such as strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market execution.

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 5 – 10 years experience

• Excellent problem-solving skills including critical, logical, and hypothetical thinking.

• Strong professional characteristics: intrapersonal intelligence, leadership, personal impact, and entrepreneurial drive.

• Technical background in one or more of the following: engineering, technical product management, or system engineering (e.g., SIer experience).
