Job Description
Technical Product Delivery Manager – M&E Infrastructure Solutions
About Our Client
Our client is a Singapore-headquartered hyperscale data center platform providing sustainable, interconnected digital infrastructure across Asia-Pacific and Europe, specializing in services for AI and cloud workloads.
The Technical Product Delivery Manager acts as a vital bridge between product development, engineering, project delivery, commercial teams, and external stakeholders. This hands-on, delivery-oriented role is responsible for translating complex technical infrastructure requirements into practical, scalable, and deliverable product solutions.
This is not a purely theoretical product role, nor is it a conventional project management position. We are seeking an individual with deep engineering understanding who can combine this with product and delivery thinking. You will be expected to understand how technical solutions work, why they are needed, how they can be improved, and how they can be practically delivered. Beyond coordination, you will challenge technical assumptions, ask critical questions, and collaborate with stakeholders to transform product concepts and technical solutions into scalable and executable realities within a fast-moving environment where products, systems, and requirements are continuously evolving. While direct data center experience is highly advantageous, it is not mandatory; strong technical exposure to mechanical, electrical, HVAC, power, or infrastructure-related systems is essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Development & Technical Definition
- Support the definition, development, and refinement of technical infrastructure products and solutions.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, project delivery, and commercial teams to translate business needs into technically feasible product requirements.
- Participate in product concept development, prototype review, modular design evaluation, and solution improvement initiatives.
- Assess the practicality, scalability, and technical suitability of proposed infrastructure solutions.
- Contribute to defining product specifications, technical standards, design requirements, and implementation guidelines.
- Ensure that product solutions are technically sound, commercially practical, and aligned with project delivery needs.
2. Technical Product Delivery
- Drive the delivery of technical products and infrastructure solutions from concept through implementation.
- Coordinate effectively between internal stakeholders, consultants, vendors, contractors, and project teams to ensure successful execution.
- Review technical submissions, drawings, specifications, and related documentation as required.
- Proactively identify technical risks, delivery gaps, constructability issues, or potential design conflicts early in the process.
- Support problem-solving for mechanical, electrical, HVAC, power, cooling, or infrastructure-related challenges.
- Ensure that solutions are delivered in line with quality, cost, schedule, and operational expectations.
3. Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management
- Act as a technical liaison between product, engineering, procurement, project delivery, and business teams.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work with internal teams to align product direction, delivery expectations, and technical feasibility.
- Engage with external vendors, consultants, and solution providers to evaluate product capabilities and technical proposals.
- Support decision-making by providing practical technical input and clear recommendations.
4. Technical Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate new technologies, systems, products, and suppliers relevant to M&E infrastructure and data center environments.
- Benchmark available solutions in the market and identify suitable product or system improvements.
- Support standardization of technical solutions across projects where applicable.
- Capture lessons learned from project delivery and feed them back into product development processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design standards, product specifications, and delivery processes.
What We're Looking For (Qualifications)
Essential Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, M&E Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, power, cooling, infrastructure, or building services systems.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: product development, product delivery, engineering design, technical project management, modular solutions, infrastructure delivery, or technical solution management.
- Ability to understand and discuss technical details beyond surface-level project coordination.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively across engineering, commercial, procurement, and project delivery teams.
- Good problem-solving ability, coupled with a practical and delivery-focused mindset.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment where processes and products may still be developing.
Highly Desirable Skills & Experience
- Direct data center experience.
- Relevant industry experience from data centers, building services, industrial facilities, cloud kitchens, modular infrastructure, HVAC, electrical systems, power systems, or complex engineering environments.
- Experience with specific systems such as HVAC, electrical distribution, generators, transformers, cooling systems, CDU, MEP systems, modular systems, or other infrastructure-related equipment.
- Exposure to prototype development, technical product design, modular design, or scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Experience working in start-up, fast-scaling, regional, or international environments.
- Prior experience working with consultants, contractors, vendors, engineering teams, or project delivery teams.
- Ability to evaluate whether a technical product or solution is commercially viable, operationally practical, and deliverable on site.
Language Requirements
- Strong communication skills in English and Chinese/Mandarin (both written and spoken are important, as the role requires regular stakeholder engagement).
- Cantonese communication ability would be an added advantage for Hong Kong-based stakeholders.
Location
- Willingness to be based in Hong Kong or work closely with Hong Kong-based teams.
