Job Description

The Sydney-based team contributes to a new Unpublished R&D Product in collaboration with partners in North America, with a focus on building the technical foundations that enable great player and developer experiences. By encouraging collaboration, you’ll drive development, smashing through obstacles and driving products into players’ hands.

Producers at Riot lead complex initiatives from conception through delivery, aligning teams around clear goals and enabling predictable, high-quality outcomes.

As a Technical Producer II on an Unpublished R&D Product you will support a technology team, you'll lead the coordination and delivery of engineering-focused initiatives that improve performance, support build processes, and enable game features at scale. You'll work across time zones to align stakeholders, manage development pipelines, and ensure that the team is set up for success at every stage of project development. You’ll report to a Senior Manager, Game Production.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day production efforts for a cross-functional engineering and technical art team
  • Drive sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and milestone execution
  • Ensure strong team health, culture, and efficiency
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and align on goals
  • Track progress, manage risks, and ensure delivery of high-quality tools and features
  • Promote best practices in planning, estimation, and documentation
  • Coordinate across teams to unblock dependencies and align technical solutions
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with partners in multiple time zones
  • Identify opportunities to improve developer workflows and system scalability

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Producer, Project Manager or similar role in software or game development
  • Ample experience working with cross-functional and distributed teams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience leading teams through all feature development phases (planning, execution, delivery, post-release support)
  • Experience applying Agile and Lean development processes such as Scrum or Kanban

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with the video game industry. A background in digital project management/Agile project management/Scrum Master in a technology setting will also be considered
  • Experience working with teams building engine capabilities, internal tooling or gameplay features
  • Mastery of production tools like Jira to track development and create accurate reporting
