Position Summary
We are seeking a Technical Operator to support safe and efficient operation on our production floor. This specialized role is responsible for managing, trouble shooting, and supervising machinery on the production line to ensure our product is meeting Quality Assurance and Food Safety standards. In addition, this position requires strong communication with team members and leadership, both within and across departments.
Key Responsibilities

• Act as expert on relevant departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Complete all required reports accurately, clearly, and within designated timeframes
• Execute assigned tasks efficiently and in alignment with company standards
• Support overall production targets and operational success
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of the assigned line section, acting as the main point of contact for its operation, safe handling, and troubleshooting
• Set up department machines and equipment, perform line changeovers as needed, and prepare machinery for end-of-day sanitation
• Conduct Critical Control Point (CCP) checks, including metal detector inspections, in accordance with General Manufacturing Principles (GMP)
• Support team members in completing required tasks, ensure quality checks are properly carried out, and maintain production pace to meet efficiency and company standards
• Maintain clear and respectful communication with team members, Lead Hands, Supervisors, and Managers to support a positive and productive work environment
• Work collaboratively across departments to identify and communicate challenges, helping coordinate solutions and ensure smooth production flow
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Reliable attendance is critical.
• Comfort working with numbers and basic math.
• Safely handle chemicals and properly use PPE.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Some technical understanding of machinery.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Principles (GOPs), and complete forms accurately.
• Working knowledge of Ontario’s Employment Standards Act (ESA) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
• Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and/or statutory holidays, to support production demands.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
• Physically capable of standing for long periods, working in ranging temperatures and humidity levels, and perform lifting (up to 25kgs), pushing, pulling and repetitive movements.
