Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Technical Operations Manager in Canada.
This role sits at the center of internal operations, automation, and AI-enabled tooling, helping transform how teams work across the organization. You will design and build scalable internal systems that eliminate manual work, streamline workflows, and improve operational efficiency across multiple business functions. Acting as a hands-on builder, you will partner with stakeholders across People, Finance, BizOps, and IT to understand friction points and translate them into practical, automated solutions. The environment is fast-moving, highly autonomous, and product-minded, with a strong emphasis on shipping quickly and iterating based on real usage. You will also collaborate closely with AI and automation specialists to integrate agent-based systems and modern LLM tooling into production workflows. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys owning problems end-to-end and building systems that are widely adopted across an organization.
Accountabilities:
You will be responsible for identifying operational friction, designing scalable solutions, and building internal tools and automations that improve productivity and reduce manual work across the business.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (BizOps, People, Finance, IT, and others) to identify high-impact automation opportunities and redesign inefficient workflows from the ground up.
- Build and maintain internal systems and integrations using tools such as Python, TypeScript, n8n, APIs, webhooks, and AI-assisted platforms across a modern SaaS stack.
- Collaborate with AI and automation leads to develop agent-based workflows, evaluate LLM use cases, and integrate AI capabilities into internal tooling.
- Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and self-service resources that enable teams to operate independently and reduce operational dependency.
- Improve system reliability, scalability, and maintainability of internal tools while continuously iterating based on feedback and usage patterns.
- Support broader strategic and operational initiatives as needed, acting as a technical force multiplier across the organization.
Requirements:
This role requires a strong technical generalist with experience in building internal systems, automations, and integrations in fast-paced SaaS or tech environments.
- 3–6+ years of experience in technical operations, platform engineering, IT engineering, or solutions engineering roles within a SaaS or technology-driven company.
- Strong hands-on coding ability in Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or similar languages, with experience building and maintaining production systems.
- Proven experience designing and implementing workflow automation and system integrations using tools such as n8n, Zapier, or custom API-based solutions.
- Familiarity with LLMs and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or agent frameworks) and practical understanding of their application in real workflows.
- Experience working with APIs, webhooks, SaaS integrations, and cloud platforms (GCP or similar environments preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive initiatives from idea to execution.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary aligned with experience and market benchmarks (around 117,000–120,000 USD equivalent range depending on location).
- Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, vision, and mental health support for employees and families.
- Unlimited paid time off, with a minimum annual requirement to encourage balance and rest.
- Remote-first work environment with flexibility to work from anywhere in North America.
- Annual stipends for home office setup, wellness, and professional development.
- Paid parental leave and additional family support benefits.
- Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI-driven internal systems with high organizational impact.
