Job Description

πŸš€ About AmpiFire

AmpiFire is a software-powered content marketing and distribution platform built for serious growth-stage businesses.

We help 7–8 figure brands build compounding organic authority, and we're not just a software company. We're a software-enabled agency that pairs cutting-edge tooling with hands-on strategic execution.

We're a lean, high-output team of around 70 people, fully remote. If you want a place where your work visibly moves the needle, keep reading.

πŸ”Ž Why This Seat Is Open

The technical side of our operations keeps growing. More automation, more CRM and reporting work, more systems we need to build rather than buy.

Our team builds plenty already, and each of them has their own area to run. What we don't have is one person who owns this stream end to end: works out what should exist, builds it, and stays with it until it is how things are done.

That is this seat. You would be handed an outcome rather than a specification.

πŸ“‹ What You'd Actually Work On

This is the real list, not a sample. It is roughly the first two quarters.

  1. Migrate our meeting booking flow onto native HubSpot forms and standardise forms across the site.
  2. Standardise how we segment in HubSpot, so reporting and routing run off one structure.
  3. Connect Google Search Console, GA4 and Merchant Center to Claude, so our client account team gets analysis and alerts automatically.
  4. Automate the repetitive work across client account management and sales.
  5. Improve what our lead emails produce. Measured on clicks and replies, not on sends.
  6. Systematise how we run content audits, so the standard lives in the process.
  7. Automate the operations behind our partnerships and JV work.
  8. Take over management and development of one of our products, currently sitting with our CEO.

Four of these are HubSpot and CRM work. Two are not yet scoped.

🎯 About You

The people who do well here look roughly like this.

You have built something nobody asked you to build, and a team ended up using it.

Given "our account managers cannot see when a client is slipping", you come back with what to build and why, rather than asking us to spec it.

You have fixed something that was silently broken. Nothing errored, the dashboard looked fine, and it had been wrong for a week.

You know HubSpot past the admin layer. Workflows, integrations, how segmentation should be architected, not just where the deals live.

You can read and modify real code. AI-assisted is expected, and most of our team already works this way.

Something you built is still running a year later, because you documented it or because somebody else now operates it.

⚑ How We Work

We move quickly. You'll work autonomously and make decisions with limited information. We don't have meetings to plan the meeting. We ship.

One standing meeting a week, Tuesday ops. Everything else is driven by the project: rebuilding a process with our sales team means real contact time with them, a HubSpot cleanup means almost none. Status goes in a written standup, not a call.

Everyone here has a Claude seat and uses it daily. Our CEO ships with v0. Our team ships internal skills most weeks. AI is not something you have to justify here, it is how the work gets done.

The pattern of the job is the same every time. Something is manual, or slower than it should be, or spread across three people's spare capacity. You work out what should exist, you build it, then you do the unglamorous part: document it, get people using it, and stay on it for the three weeks it takes to become how things are done.

🚫 Not For You If

You have specced builds rather than making them. This seat needs someone who was hands on the build itself, not reviewing what someone else made.

You need a backlog handed to you. Some of this work arrives as a problem rather than a spec, and turning it into one is the job.

You want a software engineering job. You will write and debug code here, but the code-heavy builds sit with our developers. Most of your time goes on systems, configuration, and getting things adopted.

You want to manage people. There are no direct reports here and no plan to add any. Management experience is useful. A management job is not what this is.

You have used AI but never shipped with it. If you cannot point to a workflow or tool you personally built and put into production, this is not the seat.

πŸ›  The Stack

HubSpot, n8n, Make, Zapier, Claude and Claude Code, Google Sheets and Workspace, ClickUp, Looker, Vercel, and whatever APIs the job needs.

You do not need to have used all of these. You do need to have gone deep on some, and to have picked up new ones without being trained.

You do not need to be a full stack engineer. You do not need to be a copywriter. You do not need a HubSpot certification either. We care about what you have built, not what you have been certified in.

πŸ’° The Details

  • Pay: $3,000 to $4,500 USD per month, depending on experience
  • Type: Full time contract
  • Location: Anywhere
  • Hours: Async by default. One standing meeting a week, Tuesdays at 9am Colombia time.
  • Ad-hoc calls on top, and how many depends entirely on what you are working on. Our team is global, so those calls can land anywhere across that spread.
  • Reports to: Director of Operations. You'll work directly with our CEO on several of the projects above

🧭 The Process

  1. Application
  2. A short (5min) video walkthrough. We send the brief after you apply, so you can record it in your own time
  3. Initial interview with someone on the operations team
  4. Interview with the Director of Operations
  5. Interview with our CEO

We may ask for a paid test task or assessment as part of this process.
