Griffith University is seeking a passionate and practical Technical Officer to join the Simulation and Practical Experience team within the School of Nursing and Midwifery. This is a hands-on, behind‑the‑scenes role supporting high‑quality simulation and practical learning environments for undergraduate Nursing and Midwifery students.
This position is ideal for Enrolled Nurses and other health professionals who enjoy working with clinical equipment, supporting learning, and contributing to the development of future nurses and midwives — all while enjoying weekday hours (shifts between 7am and 6pm) and a positive work‑life balance
Working as part of a collaborative, high‑performing technical team, you will provide essential technical and laboratory support to enable high‑quality clinical teaching laboratories and simulation sessions. Under the supervision of the Team Leader and guidance of the Senior Technical Officer (School of Nursing and Midwifery), you will support practical teaching activities and clinical simulations through setup, pack down and procurement, ensuring teaching laboratories are well-prepared, safe and effectively equipped for student learning.
This is a technical support role rather than a teaching or clinical care position, making it ideal for those who enjoy the practical, organisational and equipment-focused aspects of healthcare.
