The Details:

  • Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight
  • $95,258 pa + 12% super (level 4)
  • 72.5 hour fortnight
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Narangba

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Technical Officer - Roads Delivery, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As a Technical Officer - Roads Delivery you will support Council's road maintenance and renewal programs through procurement, contract administration and reviewing contractor quality assurance documentation.

You'll also:

  • Coordinate and monitor contractor performance, including quality, safety, environmental and scheduling outcomes.
  • Undertake site inspections and audits of works to verify compliance with approved specifications and standards.
  • Maintain accurate project records and provide regular reporting on infrastructure program and contract delivery, including financial forecasting, scheduling and performance monitoring through Council's project management systems.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of asset, contract and program management processes.

About you

Bring your experience and operational knowledge of road maintenance, resurfacing and rehabilitation practices, and ability to apply practical solutions to technical issues You'll also bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating infrastructure programs, contracts and projects
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Experience in procurement, contract administration and contractor management for infrastructure maintenance and renewal works
  • Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and contract compliance monitoring.
  • General Construction Induction Training (White Card) required
  • Current Class C Driver's Licence required.
