In this role, you'll:


This role will see you support and deliver laboratory and field investigations across geotechnical, pavements, and construction materials testing. You will assist with or lead the delivery of accurate and reliable test results for major infrastructure projects, playing a key role in construction, maintenance and development of road assets across NSW.



You will contribute to the delivery of geotechnical and materials testing services, help ensure technical accuracy and compliance with national standards, and support continuous improvement in a collaborative, safety-conscious environment.



This is a Permanent Full Time opportunities based in Grafton, NSW.

About you


You’re a motivated and reliable individual, whether you're just starting out or bringing years of experience in construction materials testing.

You have a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and quality, and are comfortable working in both laboratory and field environments, including civil construction sites and around live traffic and heavy machinery.

You're open to working overtime and away from home for extended periods when required.



To be successful in this role, you will have:


- Ability to work safely and be aware of risks around you in a changing environment.


- A current driver’s license is required.


- OH&S White card is required.


- Ability to obtain or currently have a Certificate IV in a relevant technical area.


- You will be working around live traffic and heavy construction plant.


- Ability to obtain or have a current Nuclear Density Moisture Gauge user license.


- Ability to apply science-based thinking and calculate mathematical equations.


- Ability to read and follow test method procedures.


This is a multigrade position open to applicants with a range of experience.

For those with no formal training within the CMT industry all training will be provided for the right candidate.

For those with experience a designation of the preferred grade should be noted with technical competence and test method familiarity noted within the application.
