Your role and responsibilities

We are now looking for a Technical Marketing Manager to join our team in the Distribution Solutions division in Vaasa. As a Technical Marketing Manager, you will act as the primary technical counterpart for selected customer accounts and market segments. You will lead technical pre-sales activities from specification review and solution definition through customer presentations, training and approval processes.

As a Technical Marketing Manager, you will also develop partnerships with selected customers in collaboration with Business Development Managers. Additionally, you will convey customer needs, product gaps and market trends to Product Management, helping to shape future product development. Note that the role will also include global travel, approximately 50 days per year, depending on business needs and how you organize your work.

The work model for this role is: hybrid; #LI-Hybrid

You will mainly be accountable for:

  • Acting as the primary technical counterpart for assigned accounts and strategic sales opportunities
  • Serving as the technical lead in large tenders, frame agreements and product approvals
  • Delivering technical presentations on our product portfolio and applications
  • for prospective and existing customers
  • Leading and conducting factory acceptance tests (FATs) for assigned customer accounts
  • Providing technical training to local sales teams and customers to promote our products and help improve the overall technical competence of the markets

Qualifications for the Role

  • BSc or MSc level degree in electrical engineering or similar
  • Experience with protection relays, protection applications, or substation automation
  • Experience in commissioning protection relays or substation automation systems is considered an advantage
  • Experience with PCM600, Omicron, or similar tools is considered an advantage
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
  • Fluent written and spoken English
