Galliford Try operates across a number of Lots on the Department for Education (DfE) Construction Framework (CF25). The Construction Framework supports the school building programmes and is intended to meet a variety of needs supporting the delivery of schools, academies, free schools and sixth form colleges. Projects can be large new build, refurbishment or remodelling and include early contractor involvement, design and build or traditional projects.
In response to the DfE’s CF25 Employer’s Requirements, Technical Manual, Pattern Book and Annexes, Galliford Try has developed standard school designs, for Primary and Secondary Schools.
The Technical Manager role will lead and implement Galliford Try’s standard school designs across the business. The Technical Manager will act as the custodian of the standard designs, owning its adoption, governing deviations, supporting Business Units on tenders and ensuring the standard designs deliver commercial, programme, quality and carbon benefits across CF25.

As Technical Manager you will report to the Education Director and will interface with a range of stakeholders throughout Galliford Try at the pre-construction and construction stages of projects. You will interface with external stakeholders including consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers.
The role will include expansion across our sectors to explore further opportunity for standardisation based on the principals established within the Education sector.
