Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity through its Indonesia entity, PT AHK Testing Indonesia, who is looking for a Technical Manager - Inspection (WSMD) to join our team. PT AHK Testing Indonesia provides independent analysis and inspection services to the metals, minerals, and solid fuels industries. We have a well-earned reputation for our knowledge and professionalism in all aspects of weighing, sampling, and analysis.

The Technical Manager - Inspection (WSMD) is responsible for managing and maintaining technical methodologies, standards, and technical support functions related to inspection—such as weighing, sampling, sizing, moisture determination, and draft survey activities—across our Metals & Minerals, Energy, and Agriculture business sectors. This role focuses on driving technical governance, executing compliance audits, and supporting technical training to ensure operations continuously meet global quality benchmarks. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Strong technical understanding of ISO 17020, ISO 17025, ISO, ASTM, JIS, SNI and standard inspection frameworks.
• Deep expertise in inspection activities and sampling methodologies (WSMD), alongside draft survey and weighing systems.
• Robust comprehension of international industry standards including ISO, ASTM, JIS, SNI, and GAFTA/FOSFA.
• Capacity to lead technical audits, risk assessments, technical investigations, and execute CAPA compliance systems.
• Strong leadership, people management, cross-functional coordination, and presentation skills.
• Advanced analytical thinking, problem-solving, and professional technical coaching capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively within multicultural and multi-business environments.
• Professional fluency in English accompanied by excellent technical reporting capabilities.
  

Required Work Experience

• Minimum 10 years of proven experience across inspection, laboratory, technical management, or operational technical support functions.
• Comprehensive industry context within global TIC (Testing, Inspection & Certification), mining, minerals, energy, coal, coke, or agriculture sectors.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating in a direct managerial or technical leadership position.
• Prior background handling multi-site and multi-business operations is highly preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy, Mining Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Science, Geological Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• A Master's Degree in a matching field is considered a distinct advantage.
