Organization Relationships:

1 Responsible to: Operations Manager.

2 Responsible for: Engineering & Design Team.

Job Summary:

1 Responsible for in-house engineering and estimation through quotation stage, planning and design process up to and including full production drawings and product delivery.

2 Responsible for handling technical inquiries from customers and liaise with consultants as required.

3 Supervising subordinates engaged in the planning, design, and estimation of projects.

4 Performing administrative and professional work that complies with ISO standards.

5 Ensuring delivery of projects following project management practices. 6 Identifying innovative sourcing solutions, process improvements and better ways of working, also identifying areas for potential expansion of company into new products and markets.

7 Keeping abreast of market developments and technologies.

8 Contributing to communications with the company's team to share information and learning from within other departments.

9 Hiring, leading, developing and coaching individuals to build a high

performing team.

2 Duties and Responsibility:

1 Planning, assigning, supervising, and reviewing the work of a team of engineers and architects, design estimators, and other personnel engaged in planning, engineering and estimation.

2 Management of all design office functions including technical approvals and engineering related works like fabrication orders,

material orders, review of shop drawings, sample submittals, etc.

3 Planning of project human resources to meet project schedule deadlines; guiding the design team appropriately: identification, control and monitoring of internal deadlines and milestones.

4 Advising and counseling subordinates while work is in progress.

5 Liaison and coordination with consultants, contractors and suppliers to complete quotations or shop drawings while ensuring long-lasting relationships.

6 Preparation of cost estimates for new projects..

7 Guidance for the structural design of metal and glass works, also to production and installation teams for customized design solutions matching the structural integrity & the design intent of the facade.

8 Ensuring optimized fabrication order drawings, specifications, bill of materials and assembly details are delivered in timely fashion to Production Manager.

9 Handling all technical correspondences with client & management at all project related stages.

10 Ensuing customer satisfaction, loyalty and quality of service products.

11 Direct coordination with suppliers to select the most appropriate and/or system as specified by the accessories/hardware client/consultant.

12 Setting out priorities with General/Operations Manager.

13 Setting-up, preparation & reporting of KPIs on regular basis.

14 Maximizing operational efficiencies and financial performance through

application of appropriate metrics, policies, & procedures.

15 Actively participation in Operations/Management review meetings to monitor project & design team progress.

16 Organizing continuous technical training for design team.

17 Implementation of Quality assurance procedures based on ISO

standards and project management methodology.

18 Actively participation in the recruitment process of the design team.

3 Requirements:

1 Education: Bachelor degree in Architecture, Civil or Mechanical engineering.

2 Experience: 10 years in professional engineering work with emphasis on Aluminum and Glass planning and designing, including supervisory work.

3 Considerable knowledge of aluminum and glass systems (facades) and the preparation of estimates and specifications.

4 Sound knowledge of structural engineering.

5 Ability to review, analyze, and make recommendations regarding designs, plans, and specifications of aluminum and glass works.

6 Ability to plan and supervise the work of technical and professional subordinates.

7 Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.

8 Good command in computer applications especially Microsoft Excel.

9 Auto-Cad expert.

10 Excellent English Language, Arabic and any other languages are an advantage.

11 Good managerial skills.

12 Proactive, to do attitude, problem solver.

13 Seek to identify opportunities for continuous improvement within department.

14 Team player.
