We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support the newly established Department of Materials and Energy, under the Faculty of Engineering, as a University initiative to foster dynamic and cross‑disciplinary activities.   • Managing documentation and preparing technical, safety and operational reports;
  • Providing technical support for the department office’s daily operations;
  • Supporting departmental events, seminars and outreach activities; and
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

The appointee will also be responsible for planning and executing works projects to meet the evolving needs of the Department. This includes:

  • Formulating procurement strategies and managing tendering processes (e.g. setting evaluation criteria, vendor selection, timelines and documentation);
  • Coordinating with internal units such as the Estates Office and the Faculty of Engineering; and
  • Liaising with external contractors on site to ensure smooth, safe and timely project execution.

The University only accepts online application for the above post. Applicants should apply online and upload an up-to-date C.V. Review of applications will start as soon as possible and continue until September 30, 2026, or until the post is filled, whichever is earlier.
