Job Description

With U.S.-based operational headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, Auria operates 16 manufacturing, 9 technical and 5 JV locations across 10 countries and employs approximately 3,700 people worldwide.

We are currently searching for TECHNICAL MANAGER to join our team at our Old Fort Plant in Old Fort, NC


What you will do:

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment, ensuring regular inspections and preventative maintenance are conducted.
  • Supervise and train a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support to enhance skills and performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, coordinating repairs and replacements as necessary to minimize downtime. Utilize diagnostic tools and methods to identify root causes of issues
  • Manage the maintenance department's budget, ensuring cost-effective practices and efficient use of resources. Monitor expenditures and seek ways to reduce costs without compromising safety or quality.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Prioritize any safety concerns or observations, including implementing corrective actions, providing maintenance to equipment, or reprioritizing team to address safety concerns.
  • Conduct regular safety audits within the plant and on the equipment.
  • Participate and lead Kaizen events within department and/or company.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance equipment reliability, OEE, and overall performance.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment, including min and maxes, and ensure timely procurement of equipment to avoid down time.
  • Maintain work orders, equipment repairs, and other documentation within Plex Maintenance Module
  • Partner with NA Corporate Engineering to complete repairs, upgrades, and other projects as required.
  • Support the Flawless Launch Process, by understanding machine capabilities, needed equipment updates, and customer requirements
  • Ensure effective communication with entire team with plant on critical projects, planned downtime, and upcoming maintenance activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, preferred
  • At least five (5) years in a Maintenance Manager or similar position.
  • Previous experience in Maintenance Engineer role strongly desired

Travel Requirements:

  • Some travel to other NA plants to provide support and participate in planned activities will be required

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems, with expertise in troubleshooting and repairing machinery.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all OSHA regulations and best practices in maintenance operations
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools, preferably Plex
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance issues.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
