The Opportunity

We’re Seeking a Technical Manager to lead our laboratory operations and drive excellence in test works and analysis. In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the management and scheduling of laboratory activities while ensuring strict adherence to standard laboratory procedures. You’ll be responsible for optimizing commercial performance and resource allocation to meet client demands and business objectives. This is an excellent opportunity to combine technical expertise with leadership skills, managing a dynamic team while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and schedule all laboratory test work and analysis activities to ensure timely delivery and optimal resource utilisation
  • Oversee adherence to standard laboratory procedures and maintain compliance with relevant quality and safety standards
  • Monitor and enhance the commercial performance of laboratory operations, including cost management and revenue optimisation
  • Lead and develop laboratory staff, fostering a culture of coninous improvement and professional excellence
  • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements, manage expectations and ensure service quality.

About you

  • Proven experience in laboratory management or technical operations, with a strong understanding of testing/analysis procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to balance operational excellence with commercial acumen and business performance metrics
  • Excellent organisational and scheduling abilities with proficiency in managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Commitment to quality, compliance and continuous improvement in a regulated laboratory environment
