Job Description

A top-tier confectionery manufacturer in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai, is hiring a full-time Technical Manager to lead the setup, commissioning, and optimization of production lines at its new state-of-the-art facility. The role requires extensive experience in food manufacturing, particularly in chocolates, wafers, and baked goods, along with strong technical and leadership skills. The Technical Manager will oversee equipment installation, production planning, process optimization, and team management, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to quality and safety standards. This is a strategic position suited for a results-driven professional capable of managing large-scale projects and driving continuous improvement in a high-performance environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all technical processes in confectionery production.

• Lead equipment setup and maintenance (e.g., mixers, cookers, enrobers, cooling tunnels).

• Launch new production lines and systems with minimal downtime.

• Improve production processes through automation and technical upgrades.

• Ensure compliance with food safety and engineering regulations.

• Manage technical teams and ensure proper training.

• Coordinate with contractors for system design and installation.

• Maintain technical documentation and SOPs.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in the food industry (preferably confectionery).

• Strong experience with process automation, PLC/SCADA, and industrial refrigeration.

• Project leadership and team management experience.

• Experience with Trakhees, DEWA, and related government bodies is a plus.

Salary Range: AED 28,000 - 35,000
