Job Description


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Liaison to join our Sales Enablement team in Paarl. This role is critical in supporting the sales function by ensuring all customer due diligence requirements are met, maintaining accurate technical documentation, and managing customer quality claims efficiently and professionally.

The successful candidate will act as a key link between customers, account managers, growers, packhouses, and internal teams, ensuring compliance requirements are fulfilled and quality-related feedback is managed effectively throughout the supply chain.

Key Performance Outputs

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and Account Managers.

  • Develop a thorough understanding of customer technical requirements and quality expectations.

  • Serve as a point of contact for technical and quality-related customer queries.

Due Diligence & Compliance Management

  • Obtain and manage customer due diligence packs before each season.

  • Verify that all required documentation is complete and accurate.

  • Update customer portals and platforms with the latest grower compliance information.

  • Liaise with Sales teams and Product Allocators to ensure approved growers and varieties are aligned with customer requirements.

  • Maintain accurate customer approval records on Datahive, NetSuite, and other relevant systems.

  • Ensure customer specifications are current, approved, and communicated to all relevant stakeholders.

Quality Control (QC) Feedback & Claims Management

  • Monitor and follow up on customer QC feedback within 48 hours of product arrival.

  • Review QC reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with customer specifications.

  • Obtain additional information, photographs, and supporting documentation where required.

  • Coordinate third-party fruit quality inspections when necessary.

  • Communicate QC feedback and quality trends to growers, Account Managers, and relevant teams.

  • Accurately capture QC data within ERP systems in line with company procedures.

  • Manage all supporting documentation, including dumping certificates and case-level records.

  • Follow up on downgraded or reallocated stock and provide timely updates to growers and stakeholders.

Technical Communication & Support

  • Ensure packhouses, producers, growers, and internal teams receive the latest customer specifications and technical requirements.

  • Maintain accurate records of all client specifications and technical documentation.

  • Support management with additional technical and administrative duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 / Matric / Senior Certificate.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar technical, quality assurance, customer service, or agricultural support role.

Technical Competencies

  • Sound technical knowledge of the fruit industry.

  • Understanding of market requirements and product specifications.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Experience using NetSuite or a similar ERP system.

  • Strong administrative and documentation management capabilities.
