The Technology Operations & Chief Information Officer Command is a trusted frontline partner that enables policing through problem solving and technical expertise and excellence. The Command provides corporate application, ICT end to end solutions, advice, cyber security and infrastructure that underpin AFP activities. The Command aims to be a highly collaborative, innovative, reliable and trusted enabler across the AFP.
Within the Command the Enterprise Technology and Architecture branch currently has vacancies for multiple highly skilled technical experts residing in the Cloud and Infrastructure Operations Section. This section provide the delivery and support of cloud capabilities that directly foster collaboration across the organisation, delivering cloud-based solutions for operational and business outcomes. This includes supporting and administering virtualisation technologies across the organisation’s hybrid cloud environment. The section is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the AFP’s sever and application infrastructure.
In these roles you will lead the design, implementation, and evolution of cloud infrastructure and play a pivotal role in supporting the shaping of the future of our environment, aligning technology strategy with business goals, ensuring performance, security, and scalability across our systems.
Technical Specialists provide expert consultancy within their area of specialism. They develop and promote technical solutions which support the business requirements of the AFP within their area of expertise. A Technical Specialist role does not hold any leadership or financial delegations. Successful applicants will be required to develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the AFP business and the impact of roles and functions undertaken in relation to the organisation’s reputation to effectively manage operations.
