Job Description

Technical Leader (PowerShell)

Location: Hanoi, Vietnam

Workplace Type: Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of PowerShell scripts and automation workflows for backend/legacy systems.
  • Participate in system architecture review, technical design, and code/script quality assurance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, batch job failures, and system performance issues independently.
  • Review technical deliverables, mentor team members, and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Analyze technical requirements and existing system documentation to plan enhancements or migrations.
  • Build, optimize, and maintain scheduled tasks, batch processing jobs, and automation scripts.
  • Work with databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, or equivalent) to support data-driven operations and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, onshore/offshore teams, and clients to clarify requirements and track delivery progress.
  • Assign tasks, conduct technical reviews, and support team members in delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Ensure alignment with SDLC processes and project delivery standards.
  • Contribute to system modernization, migration, or reform initiatives when applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software system development and maintenance.
  • Proven experience as Technical Leader or Senior Developer with team management.
  • Strong expertise in PowerShell scripting, batch processing, job scheduling, and task automation.
  • Hands-on experience with database systems (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server) and strong SQL skills.
  • Ability to analyze system behavior, troubleshoot incidents, and implement solutions independently.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and project delivery processes.
  • Good English communication skills (written & spoken).

Nice to have:

  • Experience with mainframe environments, legacy system migration, or system modernization projects.
  • Japanese language proficiency or experience working with Japanese clients.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, or cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
