Position - Technical Lead – Water & Wastewater Solutions
Location – Puritas, Head Office, Sri Lanka
Job Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership in the design, optimization, troubleshooting and consultancy of Water, Wastewater, Sewage, Recycled Water and Desalination treatment systems.
Develop process designs using advanced and latest technologies, process calculations, treatment philosophies, technical specifications and engineering deliverables for Design & Build projects while ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
Lead technical consultancy assignments including feasibility studies, process audits, plant performance evaluations, optimization studies and due diligence assessments.
Drive research and development initiatives, conduct pilot studies and laboratory evaluations, and introduce innovative treatment technologies to enhance the company's technical capabilities and product portfolio.
Provide technical guidance and support to Business Development, Tendering, Projects and Operations teams while liaising with clients, consultants, regulatory authorities and technology partners.
Mentor and develop engineering teams by sharing technical knowledge and best practices, and provide technical support to local and overseas projects as required.
Candidate Profile
BSc Engineering specializing in Chemical & Process Engineering, Microbiology or an equivalent discipline.
A Master's Degree in Water/ Wastewater Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical & Process Engineering, Microbiology or a related specialization will be a distinct advantage.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant design, process engineering, consultancy, R&D or industrial treatment systems.
Sound knowledge of biological, chemical and physical treatment processes, membrane technologies, sludge treatment, advanced oxidation processes and water reuse applications.
Experience in analytical laboratory operations, water quality analysis, process validation and interpretation of laboratory results.
Strong understanding of environmental regulations, international design standards and engineering best practices.
Excellent report writing, technical presentation and communication skills in English.
Ability to independently lead complex technical assignments while effectively collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
