We are seeking a Technical Lead – Digital Marketing Platforms to join our IT team in Golden Valley, MN. As the technical leader and subject-matter expert for our digital marketing technology, you will own the strategy, execution, and continuous modernization of the platforms that power the end-to-end digital marketing journey—spanning corporate and brand websites, brand and creative tooling, consent and cookie management, product information management (PIM), digital asset management (DAM), marketing workflow tools, CRM integrations, and the marketing funnel. This is a hands-on technical leadership role (not a people-management position); you will set technical direction, mentor peers, and guide contractors while partnering closely with Marketing, Brand, Legal/Privacy, and IT teams to deliver secure, scalable, integrated solutions and lead the transition off legacy platforms toward a modern, future-ready martech stack.

You will:

• Serve as the technical lead and subject-matter expert for the digital marketing platform ecosystem, setting technical direction and mentoring peers and contractors without direct people-management responsibility.
• Own the technical strategy and roadmap for digital marketing platforms, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives, brand standards, and enterprise IT direction.
• Drive transformation and modernization initiatives, including the migration away from legacy/Adobe platforms to modern alternatives, minimizing disruption to marketing operations.
• Lead the management and integration of websites, brand tools, PIM, DAM, and marketing workflow platforms, ensuring data flows cleanly across the funnel.
• Design and govern CRM integrations and data connections between marketing platforms and downstream systems to enable a unified customer view.
• Establish and enforce cookie/consent and data privacy controls, partnering with Legal and Privacy to meet global regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Align platform delivery to Pentair’s existing IT processes, change management, security baselines, and compliance standards.
• Monitor and report on platform health, performance, adoption, and compliance metrics, proactively addressing issues and opportunities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, brand, security, and infrastructure teams to align digital marketing technology with broader business goals.
• Maintain and evolve documentation for configurations, integrations, procedures, and standards to support operational excellence and audit readiness.
• Champion user experience for both marketing teams and end customers, gathering feedback and implementing enhancements that improve productivity and engagement.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Marketing Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience delivering and integrating digital marketing / martech platforms, including experience serving as a technical lead on projects or platforms.
• Hands-on expertise across web content management, PIM, DAM, consent management, and marketing workflow tools.
• Strong understanding of CRM integration, APIs, data integration frameworks, and cloud platforms.
• Demonstrated experience leading platform migrations, replatforming, or martech modernization efforts.
• Working knowledge of data privacy and consent regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and how they translate into platform controls.
• Experience managing external vendors and contractors.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive and strategic mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Experience in a hybrid or global enterprise environment is preferred.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82300- $152800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
