AWS RDS Support Engineer
Experience: 7 to 10 Years
- Experience with AWS Services, RDS, Aurora, VPC, IAM
- Experience with database PostgreSQL, MySQL and Oracle
- Experience in AWS SCT/DMS Services
- Experience in Maintaining documentation for operational processes, runbooks, and SOPs
- Experience in Modifying RDS parameters (e.g., parameter groups, instance classes), manage users and access controls (IAM, DB-level permissions), handle elevated access requests (e.g., temporary admin access)
- Troubleshooting
- RCA
- Experience in Infra Provisioning and configuring Security components, Key pair, security groups, ACL, IAM, Directory Service, Certificate manager
- Experience provisioning and managing resources on cloud platforms using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience in managing Terraform pipelines for resource modifications (instance types, storage scaling), cluster size adjustments (Aurora clusters, read replicas)
- Experience in Monitor CloudWatch, Splunk and New Relic for centralized monitoring, set up and maintain alarms for key metrics (CPU, memory, storage, replica lag), monitor database activity, health, and performance trends
- Should have a deep understanding of IaaS and PaaS services offered on cloud platforms and understand how to use them together to build complex solutions.
