Koch is seeking a Technical Lead, Cloud to join our Information Technology team in Bangalore. In this role, you will provide technical leadership across cloud platform modernisation, solution architecture, engineering excellence and AI-enabled innovation. You will collaborate with Product, Architecture and Engineering stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable and business-focused solutions while supporting the technical development of the engineering team.

Our Team

You will be part of the KAES-KMT team supporting the Horizon HQ organisation. The team develops and supports applications for Koch businesses and partners with global stakeholders to modernise platforms, strengthen engineering capabilities and deliver technology solutions aligned with business outcomes.

What You Will Do

• Lead architecture and technical design discussions for Horizon HQ initiatives.
• Drive cloud-native modernization, operational excellence, and engineering best practices.
• Establish standards for development, CI/CD, observability, security, and platform reliability.
• Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and business stakeholders to align technology investments with business outcomes.
• Mentor engineers through technical coaching, design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Drive adoption of modern engineering capabilities, including GitHub Copilot, Generative AI, and automation opportunities.
• Identify and resolve technical risks, roadblocks, and architectural challenges.
• Champion a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, collaboration, and PBM-based decision making

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Strong expertise in AWS and cloud-native application development.
• Hands-on experience with Python, APIs, and modern application architectures, server less & event driven architecture is a plus.
• Experience driving architecture decisions, modernization initiatives, and engineering standards.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, terraform, AWS CDK, observability, automation, and production support.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders, mentor engineers, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience in developing Generative AI solution e.g. Agent core, AWS Bed Rock, MCP, RAG solutions, intelligent search Solar / AWS OpenSearch Serverless
• and AI-assisted software development is a plus
