Job Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Lead based in Ireland.

This remote Technical Lead role is focused on driving the design, architecture, and delivery of scalable and high-quality software solutions within a global engineering environment. You will take ownership of technical direction across projects, ensuring systems are robust, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, business analysts, designers, and project managers. You will play a key role in guiding engineering teams, setting technical standards, and ensuring best practices are consistently applied. A strong emphasis is placed on architectural decision-making, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement of engineering processes. This position is ideal for a senior technical leader who thrives in fast-paced, delivery-focused environments. You will also contribute to improving automation, development workflows, and overall engineering excellence.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the design and architecture of scalable software solutions, ensuring high standards of performance, maintainability, and reliability across all systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, promoting best practices, clean code principles, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and define technical standards to ensure consistent, high-quality software delivery across projects.
  • Make key architectural and technical decisions while proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating technical risks throughout the lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders including developers, QA engineers, business analysts, UI/UX designers, and project managers.
  • Support delivery planning and oversee implementation of technical solutions aligned with business and product requirements.
  • Drive automation initiatives and contribute to the optimization of engineering processes, CI/CD pipelines, and development workflows.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
    • 10+ years of experience in software development, including proven experience in a Technical Lead or senior engineering leadership role.
    • Strong expertise in software architecture design, system design, and end-to-end technical solution development.
    • Proven experience conducting code reviews, defining engineering standards, and ensuring high-quality delivery practices.
    • Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead engineering teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
    • Strong decision-making skills with experience managing technical risks and ensuring delivery excellence.
    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Experience with Agile/Scrum, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices is a plus.
